Alan K. Hirschhorn is a partner in the firm's Litigation and Family Law Practice Groups, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of domestic relations and criminal and commercial litigation. Prior to joining Jaspan Schlesinger LLP, Mr. Hirschhorn was an Assistant District Attorney for the Kings County District Attorney, where he was a trial attorney with the Homicide Bureau and was counsel in many high profile murder prosecutions. Since entering private practice he has been trial counsel in numerous civil and criminal matters and appeals. Mr. Hirschhorn received his undergraduate
degree from Queens College and his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School.
He is admitted to practice law in the State Courts of New York, the United
States Supreme Court, as well as the Federal District Courts of the Eastern
and Southern Districts of New York. He is a member of the Family Law Committees
of both the Nassau County and New York State Bar Associations and serves
as a member of the Nassau County Bar Association's Professional Ethics
Committee. He has provided pro bono services for the Nassau County Volunteer
Lawyers Project and in 1993 received a Certificate of Appreciation from
the Lawyers Fund for Client Protection.
