Andrew M. Mahony is a partner in the firm’s
Tax Certiorari
and Condemnation Law Practice Group, where he concentrates his practice
in the areas of commercial condemnation and commercial tax certiorari
representing both municipal and private clients, commercial litigation
related to real property issues, transactional real estate, and real property
exemptions.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mahony served of counsel
to a Nassau County boutique law firm specializing in tax certiorari and
condemnation law. He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Committee on
Condemnation and Tax Certiorari, is a past president and current director
of the Nassau Chapter of the St. John’s Law School Alumni Association,
and is a member of the Board of Directors of St. John’s University
School of Law. In addition, he also serves as secretary of the New York
Condemnation Conference. Mr. Mahony co-authored the real property exemption
chapter of the 2000 Supplement to the Review and Reduction of Real Property
Assessments in New York, Lee and LeForestier, 3rd Edition. He earned his
undergraduate degree from Saint Anselm College and his Juris Doctor from
St. John’s University School of Law.
