Arthur W. Jaspan

Arthur W. Jaspan is a partner in the Firm’s Corporate
and Commercial Transactions Practice Group and its Election
Law and Campaign Finance Practice Group. He concentrates his practice
in the area of commercial law including corporate, real estate, tax, estates
and trusts, bankruptcy, and election law. As a recognized authority in
Federal Election Law, he has served as a consultant to various Senate
and Congressional Campaigns. Mr. Jaspan served as Campaign Counsel to
Congressman Norman Lent's eleven campaigns for Congress and to Senator
Alfonse D'Amato's four campaigns for the United States Senate.
Mr. Jaspan received his Juris Doctor from New York University
School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the State Courts of New York
and Florida, in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Second
Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Tax Court and the Eastern
and Southern District Courts of New York. He is a member of the American,
New York State, Nassau and Florida Bar Associations and served on the
Tax Law Committee and Bankruptcy Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar
Association and as Chairman of the Bankruptcy Law Committee from 1986-1988.
Mr. Jaspan is a member of the Board of Visitors of Touro Law School and
a member of the Capital Campaign Committee, which is raising funds for
construction of the new law school in Central Islip. He served as President
of the Long Island Chapter of the American Jewish Committee between 1996
and 1998, and is presently a member of their national Board of Governors.
Mr. Jaspan was recently elected to the Fellows of The New York Bar Foundation
for his outstanding achievement in and dedication to the legal profession.
