David E. Paseltiner is a partner in the firm's Corporate and Commercial Transactions Practice Group and its Banking and Financial Services Practice Group. Mr. Paseltiner has extensive experience in a broad range of sophisticated commercial matters, including representing both borrowers and lenders in complex financial transactions, in structuring, negotiating and implementing merger, acquisitions and divestitures, in negotiating and drafting employment and compensation agreements and agreements among shareholders, partners and limited liability company members, and in other corporate, commercial and real estate transactions. Mr. Paseltiner has represented businesses in numerous industries, ranging in size from small start-up operations to publicly traded corporations. Prior to joining Jaspan Schlesinger LLP in 2000, Mr. Paseltiner was a name partner in a prestigious Nassau County law firm, where he handled a wide variety of corporate, commercial and real estate matters. Mr. Paseltiner received his Juris Doctor degree in 1988 from the Hofstra University School of Law, where he was a published editor of the Law Review and received an award for excellence in real estate, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985 from Boston University. Mr. Paseltiner is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He is currently a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association and the American Counsel Association. In addition to his professional activities, Mr. Paseltiner is President
of the Board of Directors of Long Island Cares, the Harry Chapin Food
Bank, and a member of the Boards of Directors of the Education and Assistance
Corporation (where he was formerly Chairman of the Board) and of the
Long Island Region of the American Heart Association. Mr. Paseltiner
was honored by Touro Law Center as one of its Outstanding Pro-Bono Attorneys
for 2006.
