Igor “BUD” Bilewich received his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 1975 and is admitted to practice law in New York and before the United States district court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He continues to practice in the areas of corporate, commercial, business and municipal law representing and counseling public corporations, closely held entities and not-for-profit organizations as well as individuals and organizations who require assistance in dealing with such companies. He focuses his practice on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, recapitalizations, joint ventures and other business combinations, including technology licensing and transfers. Mr. Bilewich is the former Village Attorney for the Incorporated Villages of Roslyn Estates and Floral Park and continues to serve as Village Attorney for the Incorporated Village of Roslyn Harbor where he has acted in such capacity since 1979. His experience in drafting and commenting upon various types of agreements, including shareholders agreements, operating agreements, partnership agreements, employment agreements, deferred compensation agreements and agreements on matters of corporate law generally make him a much sought after lecturer at continuing legal education seminars conducted by the state and local bar associations and other providers of such courses. In addition to being a member of the board of directors of Commerce Plaza, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, Mr. Bilewich is a member of the Nassau County, New York State and American Bar Associations. He has also Chaired both the Corporation Law Committee and the By-laws Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association. Mr. Bilewich is a recipient of the prestigious Nassau County Bar Association President’s Award.
