Laura J. Granelli is a partner in the firm’s Education and Municipal Law Practice Groups, providing both general and labor counsel services to public school districts and public libraries. Ms. Granelli provides advice and counsel to clients regarding virtually every legal issue that arises in educational and municipal settings. As labor counsel, she handles the full range of labor issues, including development of proposals, negotiations, mediation, fact finding, contract administration, arbitration, and proceedings before the Public Employment Relations Board ("PERB"). Ms. Granelli received a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Law and a B.A. in History (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from Binghamton University in 1994. Ms. Granelli received her Juris Doctor degree in 1997 from Hofstra University School of Law where she graduated with distinction and was awarded the Outstanding Law Student Award as well as awards for excellence in the study of Torts and Family Law. In addition, Ms. Granelli served as an editor of the Law Review. Ms. Granelli has lectured on numerous Education Law
topics since joining the firm in 1997, and is an active member of the
American, New York State, and Nassau County Bar Associations. Ms. Granelli
serves on the Board of Directors of the New York State Association of
School Attorneys.
