Marc S. Alessi is of counsel in the Firm's Municipal, Land Use and Litigation Practice Groups.   He comes to the Firm after having served as of counsel to one of the oldest law firms in Suffolk County where he concentrated on real estate transactions.

 After his admission to the Bar, Mr. Alessi had served as the Down State Director of Governmental Affairs for the New York State Comptroller’s Office, where he was charged with ensuring that each level of government operated in accordance with the laws of New York State. 

Mr. Alessi was elected to the New York State Assembly in 2005; he represents the 1st Assembly District (Brookhaven, Riverhead, Southold and Shelter Island).  Mr. Alessi serves on seven different Assembly Committees:  Transportation, Energy, Labor, Aging, Agriculture, Local Governments, and Veterans.

Mr. Alessi is proud of the work he has done within the Labor Movement through his early work as the Long Island Coordinator of Government Affairs for the Civil Service Employees Association.

Mr. Alessi earned his Bachelor’s Degree at SUNY Albany and then completed his law degree at Touro Law School, where he received awards in the study of health care law.
