Wallace L. Leinheardt is of counsel in the Firm's Trusts and Estates and Elder Law Practice Groups, where he concentrates his practice in the area of trusts and estates, guardianship law, elder law, and surrogates practice. Mr. Leinheardt graduated from the University of Miami and received his Juris Doctor and Master of Laws degree from Brooklyn Law School. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Leinheardt was in private practice. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the United States Supreme Court and all Federal Courts of New York. Long active in bar association activities, Mr. Leinheardt has served on numerous committees of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Queens County Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar. He was President of the Queens County Bar Association and Vice President of the New York State Bar Association. He has served as Chair of the Queens County Bar Association Judiciary and Elder Law committees and of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section's Guardianships and Fiduciaries and Committee and its Trust and Estate Section's Surrogate's Court Committee, among others. Mr. Leinheardt is Past President of the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. As a Bar Association representative, Mr. Leinheardt was directly involved in the creation and adoption of Article 81 of the New York Mental Hygiene Law - Guardianships. He has written and lectured extensively before lay and professional groups on Estate Planning, Guardianship, Surrogate's and Technology matters.
