Partner Laura Granelli is a Trustee of the New York State Association of School Attorneys (“NYSASA”) and will be presenting a “Mock Board Meeting” with several colleagues at NYSASA’s annual convention in Lake George on June 3, 2006. Partners Carol and Larry Tenenbaum are past presidents of the Association. On June 8, 2006, Laura Granelli will be speaking at the New York State School Board Association’s (NYSSA”) annual Special Education Conference on “IEP Development”. On July 28, 2006, Larry Tenebaum will be speaking at the NYSSBA’s 12th Annual School Law Conference. His talk is entitled “A Year In Review” and will discuss legal developments in education law. Litigation Chair Stan Camhi successfully
defended claims of age and gender discrimination filed with the New York
State Division of Human Rights against the Uniondale UFSD. After a hearing,
the Administration Law Judge issued a ruling dismissing the entire claim.
