Banking and Financial Services Welcomes New Partner

Mary E. “Maribeth” Walsh joins Jaspan Schlesinger LLP as a partner in the Banking and Financial Services Practice Group as well as its Real Estate Practice Group.

Ms. Walsh has extensive experience in title insurance underwriting and title insurance claims and litigation. Prior to joining Jaspan Schlesinger LLP, Ms. Walsh served as General Counsel and later as Special Counsel for Stewart Title Insurance Company. Prior to joining Stewart Title Insurance Company, Ms. Walsh served as counsel for Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company.

Ms. Walsh has lectured extensively on title insurance and real estate related topics and has been approved by The New York State Department of State, Bureau of Educational Standards to instruct real estate qualifying and continuing education courses.

Ms. Walsh is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross (A.B., 1983) and St. John’s University School of Law (J.D., 1986). Ms. Walsh was admitted to practice in New York in 1987 and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations. She is also a Past President of the Catholic Lawyers’ Guild of the Diocese of Rockville Centre - Nassau Chapter, a Director of the Holy Cross Lawyers’ Association and the President of the Holy Cross College Club of Long Island.
