Wallace L. Leinheardt is a partner in the firm s Trusts and Estates Practice Group where he concentrates his practice in the area of trust and estates, guardianship law, elder law, and surrogates practice.

A graduate of Forest Hills High School, Mr. Leinheardt graduated from the University of Miami and received his Juris Doctor and Master of Laws degree from Brooklyn Law School.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Leinheardt was in private practice. He is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court and all of the State and Federal Courts of New York.

Long active in bar association activities, Mr. Leinheardt has served on numerous committees of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Queens County Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar. He was President of the Queens County Bar Association (QBA) and Vice President of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA). He has served as Chair of the QBA Judiciary and Elder Law committees, and the NYSBA Elder Law Section's Guardianships and Fiduciaries and Committee and the NYSBA Trust and Estate Section's Surrogate's Court Committee, among others.

As a Bar Association representative, Mr. Leinheardt was directly involved in the creation and adoption of Article 81 of the New York Mental Hygiene Law - Guardianships. He has written and lectured extensively before lay and professional groups on Estate Planning, Guardianship, Surrogate's and Technology matters.
